Then pick an Etsy Shopify 3D listing app or an embeddable viewer with shareable links, because Etsy's own platform will not host your 3D viewer. Link it from your listings, your shop banner, your thank-you messages. Measure whether the listings with 3D convert better, then expand. Etsy SEO will not care about your viewer. Your conversion rate will. And since Etsy charges per listing, the sellers who win are the ones whose listings convert, not the ones with the most listings. 3D is a conversion lever, not a traffic lever. Big difference.

Do not overthink AR at first. A rotatable 3D viewer answers most of the "what does it really look like" question on its own. AR is the cherry on top, and it only really matters for furniture-sized items, which most Etsy sellers do not sell. Get the viewer working. Get the conversion data. Then decide if AR earns its keep for your products. Sequence matters.
